Play therapy

Play therapy

Are you worried about your child?

Has your family or your child been through a difficult time - for example separation, the death of a loved one, bullying, migration or refugee experience?

Does your child seem

  • fearful,
  • restless,
  • unfocused,
  • hard to motivate true or
  • have you noticed any mood changes?

Child-centered play therapy can help your child regain their sense of self and become more balanced.

Child-centered play therapy is generally appropriate for children between the ages of 3 and 9.

Process:

Therapy enables your child to discover new ways of coping, strengthen self-confidence and find their way better in everyday life through unconditional positive regard (you can be who you are!).

There is always an initial intake session with the parents and a first session with the child to get to know each other.

In weekly sessions I will guide your child through a process of self-discovery.

All sessions will take place in the play room of IBEF e.V.

However, play therapy is not psychotherapy and I do not diagnose your child.

Sessions with the parent(s) or parent-child sessions may be part of the therapy. An intake interview with the parents and regular debriefings of the sessions are part of every therapy.

Normally, sessions are 50 minutes with 10 minutes for debriefing and note-taking.

Sessions with parents/family may be up to 90 minutes.

Cost:

Play therapy 60 minutes – €60

Family session / parent sessions 90 minutes – €90

You are welcome to contact me if the cost is a challenge for you - we will find a solution together.
